I just got the wonderful news that I was accepted into Duquense's accelerated program yesterday!!! It was my first choice so I am rather excited. I start August of 2014! Anyone been through the program that can offer any advice? Anyone else applied or recently got accepted? I would love to see who my future classmates are : )
hey guys i will also be attending to Duquesne in the fall. Have any of you guys found housing or an apt yet? If so where?
Are any of you guys looking for a roommate? I am moving from Philadelphia and know no one in Pitts and most of the apt i looked are 2 bedroom apt. I got along with all of my roommates in undergrad, I am clean, not smoker, probably will be studying for all of the time so I will be quite.
Please let me know if you're looking for a roommate.

I ended up applying to the program really late on because I found out I would be staying in Pittsburgh. Does anyone know what the turn around time was for the decision letter? Or how many seats were filled/how many people had applied by the time you attended the on campus info session in Feb? Or what their acceptance rates were?
Also, I am unclear of what the daily schedule is like. Any info on that? Weekend schedule?
Thanks!
hey Leanakbrewer,
I also have the same concern. I'll be moving from Philadelphia and know no one up there. Most of the apt i've been looking on craigslist require you to know the roommate. If you are looking for a roommate, i am available. You can contact me at [email protected] and look for apt together if that is fine with you.
**Housing**
I have been living in Pitt for a year. My fiancee and I moved here so that he could start his medical residency at UPMC. If anyone has any questions re: housing, I can answer from an unbiased prospective since I am not attached to the city in anyway, being that I am a newcomer. I have found that many people here are particularly attached to one neighborhood or another. There is a lot of neighborhood pride which has caused some segregation between different neighborhoods (an issue that the city is trying to work to improve). We got advice from several Pittsburgh lifers/long-time locals prior to moving here, which was bad planning because we now have to move to a different neighborhood.
