Duquesne University ABSN 2022

Hi all!

I know it's still early for this program (deadline in May), but I was recently accepted and wanted to start a discussion forum! I really wanted to be in Pittsburgh and like Duquesne's program, which is why I applied.

Accepted/prospective students please feel free to respond, as well as current students - I'd love to hear what you think about the program!

Hey so honestly I just applied on a whim and they don’t seem to have calculated and shared that information w me but in terms of my prerequisite grades I had two B’s and a C+ with the rest being A’s. My cumulative I’m guessing is around a 3.2. Hope that helps n good luck!

I just got accepted today!! I'm still applying to a few other schools but I'm so happy since this is my first acceptance ?

Update: I got accepted!! It took a bit longer for me since I had to deal with transcripts as I'm also currently an undergrad student. I'm just glad since this school is definitely one of my top choices!

@lemonadejuggle 3.2 foreign undergrad GPA, 4.0 prereq GPA, 110 TOEFL, 3 years of hospital volunteering (Med-Surg and ER).

Hi! I just found out about this school I'm from California so I don't know too many out of state schools. But after reading through some of the posts, this seems to be a pretty good school and I'm going to apply for it! May I ask those who are admitted into the ABSN program how long did it take to hear the admission result after you submitted the application? Thanks in advance!!

Hello! For me, I applied a month ago but had some problems with getting one of my official transcripts sent. However, the school got all my transcripts last week and then yesterday, I got accepted. So, if things did go as planned it would've taken probably a week or a week and a half to hear from them. Overall, they do get back to you pretty quickly.

@zxcvb Hey, I'm from CA too! Will be moving for school.

I heard back within 10 days after applying.

Is anyone still working on prerequisites? I am doing two through Portage and after being accepted I lost a bit of motivation (don't worry - I plan on getting it back)! If anyone wants to make a group or something for support I'd be all for it.
