Dumb question but curious about CPNE dates

Published

Do they call you and offer you a date for CPNE or do they email you or use the message center?

I emailed her last week to see if she had any cancellations and asked how far out testing dates were available. Her response was: Your application became complete on 4/3 so your expected testing weekend will be sometime in the Summer of 2012.......so anywhere from May - August/September. BUT - my ready date is May 25th and I applied for SPAC in Atlanta, but really only want Grady. Yesterday, I looked up the graduation timelines and it shows the cut off date for CPNE which makes me a little mad. I thought by pushing to do it by the end of next month would be beneficial, but not really so I am now setting my sights on the month of June.

Summer 2012.....seriously! But really, its better than Summer 2013.

Switch from care plans to practicing your skills to be tested! You can never do that wound care one often enough!

When I called the response was the wait is 3 to 6 months. So I will just have to be patient :) I am just stressing bc of my job and lack of it come this summer. I am a school nurse and I currently live with my parents after my divorce. So my son and I are anxious to get our own place. :) I figure I applied 3 weeks ago so I have a little over 2 months to 5 months to study. I am also trying to wrap up Micro too. So I don't to rush it either. So I can figure June to September. BUt we will be there before we know it. :)

So I guess they can't give me a date until my CPR is updated?? what??? I though it just needed to be updated before I test?? UGH>... Then she wrote to me, you will have a date sometime July/August..but my ready date isn'ttill August. I just wish I knew the date so I could plan accordingly. I need like a week off from work ahead of time, plus some for travel and tesing.

Yeah, I put I needed 3 weeks notice. I need to be able to plan travel because downtown atlanta hotels are expensive and I need that 21 day advanced purchase discount, even at that the room is 159.00 compared to 199. I am practicing mnemonics daily till I get them down. Care plans, I am getting much better with. Documentation I'm good with, got a great review from EC this week on my first submission. As long as you chart based on your mnemonics, you will nail that portion. I'm pretty good with the wound, so far. I have a packing method from ST's workshop that makes it doable and I find it pretty easy to do. ST's workshop has made all the difference to me.
