Duke University ABSN Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I just wanted to start a thread for prospective students hoping to start Duke's ABSN program in the Fall of 2018! Feel free to leave any questions or background info!

Is there a Facebook page for Fall 2018 students?

For people who were accepted, what date do you guys have to respond to the offer? I'm trying to figure out when waitlisted people will hear back again... Thanks!

Hi guys, I clicked on the link that was sent. Where did you find the admissions letter once you log into One Duke?

Right hand side of portal should have a "View Decision" tab. Click on that and it will have a pop-up that includes the letter. You have to turn off your pop-up blocker.

Congrats everyone! I was also accepted. Did anyone hear about the HEA program?

Also accepted/got in!

I still can't find my decision letter! popup blocking is disabled and i've logged out and back in but it still won't work. any suggestions?

Check your downloads folder :)

I'm still waiting to see if I got into the HEA program too!

I was waitlisted. Do you all think it would be a beneficial thing to reach out to DUSON to express my continued interest in the school? As far as I know, the waitlist is not ranked, but I have no clue how they select from it either.

That said, I was experiencing much anxiety trying to justify the 80k+ price tag of Duke (which doesn't include the living expenses that I'd also need to borrow for myself and two sons for the 16 months, bringing the total closer to 100K). I would be lying not to admit I'm much less anxious at the prospect of paying 1/10th the price at a state school, despite giving up the name and reputation of Duke. I'm torn. Any thoughts?

Congrats to everyone! I also was accepted!!! So excited. Now, I need to make a major decision as I have already sent in a deposit to another school. Currently, finishing my undergrad degree at a school about 45 mins from Duke. Love living here and it will be hard to leave this area. Will reach out to you all again once I make my decision.

Does anyone have any idea/previous knowledge of when they give financial aid packages out? I know they said to expect something 30 days from getting accepted. I'm just trying to have some kind of plan to consider all my options.
