Hi everyone. I haven't found a thread for this topic yet, so I decided to start one. Who else submitted their application on Feb 1st for the various new grad positions at Duke?
I interviewed for the ER position for the GEMS program at Durham Regional at the end of April. I still haven't heard anything and my application still says "under hiring manager review." Does this mean they still haven't made a decision? I was told I would get an email even if I didn't get the job. I can't get a hold of HR. This is stressing me out, and I wonder if I should even still be waiting? Is anyone in the same boat?
I would keep trying to call hr and/or email whomever you interviewed with. When I interviewed the interviewer gave me her phone & email and said to contact with any questions. Good luck! It seems like they can be kind of slow with stuff so you may still have a shot! Let us know when you find out :)
Read what their values statement is: "Caring for our patients, their loved ones and each other" Very much teamwork oriented (but don't say "I'm an team player") If you base your answers on those principles, you should be in good shape. They will teach everything they want you to know and how they want you to do it (their policies and procedures) so it is a matter of if you can fit in with their behavioral expectations.
I had an interview with Clinical Transport yesterday (shadow in scrubs on the floor, then interview). Thought I totally bombed it because I had
If any of y'all are on 7100, 7300, or in the ED, I'll probably be seeing you a lot! I've lived in both Raleigh and Durham since 2001,
so I can give you advice as a local.
I did a shadow and a formal interview. the shadow is great b/c they see you in action. My "interview" was very short, too. I was told more of the expectations and what kind of "ship they run" I got along great with the NM. Got a job offer a little over 2 weeks-they had a huge shortage in HR. Thought for sure I didn't get the job.
I love it there.
BTW-Congrats!!!!!!(won't see you unless I send-6100/6300)

Hi guys! I just got an interview for the GEMS program! Any tips for the interview? Super excited, but I started feeling unsure of Durham Regional since I read some pretty negative comments..... anybody look into that?
