Hi all!,

Wondering if anyone is in the process of interviewing with Duke for their New Grad Residency. I have an interview scheduled for early March. Would love to hear from anyone else who is planning to apply or has already applied. Good luck!

Does anyone have any insight into the shadow/interview experience? I am trying to prepare and stressing out a bit. I have heard to be yourself and that they make you feel welcome. My plan is to layout some answers to behavior based questions and then layout questions I want to ask them. Thoughts? Advice?

I have heard the shadowing portion is equally about you getting to know the unit/nurses as it is about them getting to know you! Other than questions about the Duke Health Core Values, I'm unsure what to expect with the actual interview.

I have heard the same about shadowing and mixed input about the interview. Thank you!

I applied early January, did a phone interview mid-February and interviewed on the unit less than a week later. I got an offer via email less than an hour after I left so it was all super quick! It was a super relaxed interview which was nice. I'll be in the CTICU ?

I'm also interviewing on the CTICU in a couple weeks! How was the shadowing/interview experience?

oh nice! It was great! very conversational and shadowing was awesome -I wish I could have stayed for an entire shift!

Hello

I'm from out of state and received an email about references and video interview. Is this part of screening process for out of state peeps? I haven't read any of you to have gone through this.

I’ve only received the email about references. How long did it take before they sent the one about the video interview?

I received the request for video interview pretty much the same day within 20mn but I think it was after I have sent the 5 references emails since I did that right away. Did you get the interview request yet?

I only applied to general med/stepdown. I did that last Monday and got the email for the references the next day, but nothing else so far. My references are complete and I spoke with the recruiter via email, but she hasn't said anything about scheduling the interview yet. I wish I could go to the open house tomorrow, but I have class.

I just accepted a job in the CTICU! Are you from the NC area or are you moving?
