Hey everyone! I was just hired as a new grad into the new grad nurse residency program at Duke University Hospital. I live about 8 hours away and I'm hoping to connect with others who will also be starting the program in July! I'm also looking for recommendations on places to live in the Duke/Raleigh area!

I found a place a few miles away that wasn't ridiculous. I was told to live in south point or brier creek but don't wanna deal with the drive. It's gated and not too shabby. Send me your email if you want and I'll give you the info :)

Hello everyone! I just applied for their Surgical/Trauma ICU position. I was wondering when everyone heard back and if there are any supplementals to the application I should watch for. Congrats to all who have already accepted a job!

I've been patiently waiting to hear back from the STICU also. Any news?

Just go in there and be yourself. They interview process to me was not a stressful process. everyone was kind. You'll do great. I received offer via email. This made me nervous because I thought it was a denial email lol

Hello! I am also going to be a New Grad Nurse at Duke University Hospital! I start in August, and am starting to look for places to live in Raleigh so I can be close to the city life in downtown Raleigh! Any suggestions?
