Duke FNP Fall 2015

Published

Hey all,

Just wanted to know who is considering going to Duke for their FNP next fall. I know it's still early to apply, but the deadline is just around the corner.

I also felt it was informal which was the part I wasn't expecting. My interviewer was great. Open ended questions and super easy to talk to while remaining professional! I was very comfortable talking to her. Good luck guys!

I'm also starting to get a little nervous, I have to wait until Thursday! I have at least spent a lot of time talking with the faculty member I am interviewing with via phone and email over the last 4 months. But I still feel very anxious especially since I work the night before the interview!

Amy, I worked the night before mine too. You'll do fine!

So, I just had the interview. Of course I was a nervous wreck ! I feel that I had some difficult questions which I probably failed to answer appropriately:(. However, at the conclusion of the interview, I was recommended for admission! It's a big relief to get the interview done and over with. Now the anticipation to get accepted, rejected, or put on the wait list will be killer in the next few weeks.

Uh-oh. Maybe my interview wasn't as good as I thought. I was not told I was being recommended.

I didn't get told that either..

It probably depended on the interviewer

It probably depended on the interviewer

Did they give you a timeline for decisions??

The person that interviewed me said that the admissions committee meets once a month, but did not give me a specific date. And that they will send an email with the acceptance offer, then you will have 2 weeks to accept and pay the $1,000 deposit.

Did they give you a timeline for decisions??

No

My interviewer said the committee would meet, I think, the week of February 15.

So decisions possibly at the end of February??

I hope it's before. I need to figure out how to finance my studies.
