DUKE DNP/MSN Spring 2018

I was just wondering if anyone has applied to Duke for one of their graduate programs for Spring of 2018? I chose to go the BSN-DNP w/ FNP track route. Now I am patiently waiting for applications to close and interviews to go out. I would love to connect with other students who are applying! Also I would love to hear feedback from any current or past students. Thanks!

Matthew.RN you have probably already figured this out by now but there was a link in the acceptance letter to make your deposit. The due date (if I am reading the offer letter correctly) is 9/23. I received an e-mail yesterday to RSVP to the open house. Hopefully, they will send out more information before 9/8 as to where we meet, etc. I need all the details beforehand! Haha!

Yeah I got my rsvp email (super excited!). But I didn't have anything about my deposit bc I didn't get a formal acceptance letter yet due to the DNP decisions still being decided, they said once those were decided I'd get one stating if I was just accepted into the man or into the bsn to DNP, so I guess I'll find out then!

How was the experience DUSON day for those of you who were able to go??

Also, did they say anything about Merit Scholarships and when we'll hear back about them?

Hey has anyone heard anything about further requirements for registration? The original email said we would get further information "in the coming weeks" but I haven't heard anything else. I called on Tuesday and they said to expect something in my duke email probably by the end of this week, but in everything they sent there was no information on our duke email (though I googled duke email and found the outlook login). Just wondering if anyone has heard anything?

The Duke email is the outlook address. I haven't heard anything either about registration, just about financial aid. :-)

Hi everyone just found this forum. I was there on September 8th for the DUSON Experience, it was good meeting everyone. Since I don't have fb I'll have to stick to this forum. Is everyone planning on going to the orientation on January 8th?

I'd like to go on the 8th for orientation....however, I live on the West Coast. Does anyone know if we'll have any on campus requirements this first semester? Not sure I can make the trip out twice electively.

No, we don't have any on campus requirements for the spring semester. The next time we are required to be on campus is three times for the health assessment this summer, if you are full-time. That's my next question.

I am a full-time student in adult gerotonolgy primary care and also work full-time. Has anyone heard how do-able that is? I contemplating change my schedule.
