DUKE DNP/MSN Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I was just wondering if anyone has applied to Duke for one of their graduate programs for Spring of 2018? I chose to go the BSN-DNP w/ FNP track route. Now I am patiently waiting for applications to close and interviews to go out. I would love to connect with other students who are applying! Also I would love to hear feedback from any current or past students. Thanks!

Just curious if you're familiar with how competitive the post master certificate for cardiology is?? I would think preference goes to nps already attending Duke? I'm graduating from a different school. Any insight??

Lily,

I am not sure how competitive it is. Try calling the SON they are pretty nice people.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. I never got around to making a facebook group, I'm not sure if anyone else did. I'm planning on flying into NC the 6th - 9th to just go to orientation on the 8th and see some friends and family. I look forward to seeing some of you!

Hi All,

I'm a bit late to this thread but I will be attending the Jan 8th orientation as a Post-Master's FNP student, looking forward to meeting you all! I'd love to set up a FaceBook group if anyone is interested in meeting up on Monday, feel free to PM me your Facebook names. Are there any other PGC students on here? See you guys soon!

I'd love to be added to a FB group. Although I can't seem to figure out how to PM to give you my name...I don't use All Nurses very much except to creep on this thread haha. I added you as a friend hoping that will allow me to PM you.

Looks like time has finally arrived for the start of classes. I will be there for orientation and am looking forward to meeting everyone. I was wondering if I was the only person that didn't pick a specialty?

Hi Michael, I was wondering if you had received any information yet from Duke School of Nursing regarding your application?

What is the average GPA for acceptance for the nurse practitioner program at Duke? Does anyone know?

Congratulations! If you don't mind me asking, do you know about how long it takes for your program? I can only find sample curriculum for the MSN, not including DNP. Thank you!

HI! I applied for their BSN to DNP PNP-AC track. I was accepted and will be flying to orientation in a couple of weeks! So excited!!

Congratulations! If you don't mind me asking, how long does it take for your program? I can only find sample curriculum for the MSN track, not including DNP. Thank you!

Hello, congratulations on being accepted. I am in the Adult/gerontology primary care program, it takes 18 months. I am full- time. It is extremely busy and requires alot of dedication. On the other hand, it's Duke and I know it will pay off. Once again congratulations.
