For those that have gone to the ER with real pain and been dismissed, poorly treated and ignored. You will get refunded all your money, and the script of your choice personally from the idiot who figured that since you didn't fit into THEIR idea of pain, it couldn't be real. Also will be able to WHOMP them with their own baseball bat if they have one, "(WHOOMP) See how it feels, you moron?! Betcha want some good drugs now huh?!"

May you (not you canoehead, the doubters) suffer from a mirgraine that fails to respond to home treatment and be treated the same in the ED. And please don't start me with demerol. Surely there is a better drug (not Imitrex!) without the nasty side effects. I don't like to feel high and out of control. And demerol really doesn't help the pain. Just makes you forget about it for a while. At least for me.
And there is a place in :angryfire reserved for the drug seekers who use migraines as their complaint. May you suffer eternal migraines. :rotfl:

I once had an ER Doc show up to work and announced to all nursing staff that "No one is getting narcs tonight--on my shift". What a prick. There are some patients who are really in pain, such a renal stones, fractures, etc. One call to the Attending Doc took care of that. Nurses are pretty good at figuring out who needs real pain meds and who doesn't and it is ashamed not all docs listen to the staff! Just my thoughts........."on through the fog gang"
