A patient is initiated on drug Q:25mg BD on day 1, 50mg BD on day 2, 100mg BD on day 3, 150mg BD on day 4 onwards
How many 50mg tablets are required to provide the patient with 7 days treatment supply?
NB: The tablets can be halved and each half tablet used
Let's see.... 25 is half of 50... 50 is two halves of 50... 100 is four halves of 50... 150 is six halves of 50...
So how many halves of 50 are you going to use each day?
How many pills are needed for that many halves?
I really don't want to come off as being rude, but I am honestly shocked that you are having problems with this absolutely simple math. That is quite alarming for a future nurse
BD? Do you mean BID?
However - if you could share what you have done so far then we can try and guide you through it.
It is not helpful to you (or to any other students reading) for answers to just be given to you on a plate. That doesn't develop your thinking or skills. What would happen in the real world if you have a complex medical issue that requires your math skills?
