Drexel University ACE Program Fall 2011 Start

3.33 (if I remember correctly) in my major (which is B.S. in Computational Mathmatics and Comp Sci) and a 3.42 in my pre-reqs. I'm taking nutrition and sociology this semester and I still have to take micro in the spring.

My pre-req gpa so far is 4.0(I'm in Ethics right now, my last prereq) My undergrad GPA is 3.189 in Anthropology.

I have a BS in Kinesiology from Penn State; 3.3 overall, about 3.2 prereq. I have to take Microbio, developmental psych, and sociology.

I'm assuming they won't take social psychology for sociology since it says on their site that they don't substitute courses and I'm hoping my anatomy class is okay since it was through the kines department. I hope they tell us soon so I can plan for spring accordingly.

Has anyone taken a good online developmental psych course? I've been considering taking it online.

Also, has anyone spoken to the admissions department lately/since Nov 1st?

They wouldn't take my social psych or social work credits instead of intro to sociology. I took my transcripts along and had them look at it when I visited and took a tour of the school.

As long as you have 4 hours of anatomy and 4 hours or physio, or A&P I and II, you should be ok (provided it was taken in the past 5 years).

When I inquired last week, decisions were being made but they weren't committing to a timeframe.

Hello, I'm currently taking developmental psy online. I attend Delaware County Community College. My professor is pretty organized. The course is divided into units. Each unit(about 3-4 chapters) is due about every 2-3 weeks. The unit includes 2 forum questions and you must respond to 3 other students, quizes on each chapter, and 2 case studies. There is also a film report, that you must tie into one of the units that we learned. It takes me about maybe 5-6 hours to complete that work. I usually spend one day on it and turn it in a week before its due. I love online classes, you can do the work at your leisure. I have a 94 in the class so far, not bad for only 1 full day worth of work. Hope this helps.

I was told by someone at the admissions office that they will not begin reviewing until Nov 15th!....also does anyone know if they will accept comparative anatomy as the anatomy requirement??

Hi, I spoke to a recruiter and they said if you applied prior the priority deadline that you will receive notification no later than the first week of December. I have never heard of comparative anatomy but it has to be human anatomy and physiology both with a lab or anatomy & physiology I & II. It depends on how your school has the classes set up. Best of Luck... Hopefully we will be hearing from Drexel soon...

Supposedly, according to the web session the ACE program had this evening, the Admissions Committee will begin reviewing for the Fall 2011 ACE program in the next week or two and applicants should expect to receive a response within 6 weeks of when the committee begins reviewing...

They also said that they get about 1000 applications and have spots for 180 for the fall and 80 for the spring... :/
