I saw this after surfing the net. Press release 01/12/2011
The Department of Health (DoH) today announced that applications can be filed starting next week, January 17, for its project where unemployed nurses will be deployed to poor communities in the country.
"the project, billed RN heals, seeks to make essential health services available to all Filipinos by training and deploying 10,000 unemployed nurses in communities to be identified by the DoH in collaboration with the department of social welfare & development (DSWD),"
Health secretary Enrique Ona said.
Rn Heals, an acronym for registered nurses for health enhancement and local service, is expected to address the shortage of skilled and experienced nurses in 1,221 rural and unserved or underserved communities for one year.
"eventually, these nurses will be part of the pool of competent nurses for later employment or absorption in health facilities, thus addressing the inadequate supply of skilled nurses and increasing the nurses' employment rate," the health chief concluded.
hello everyone. im a newbie in this forum. :w00t:
i was called in for interview yesterday and when i got there i got to wait in line because there were a lot of applicants so i suggest you guys should really get there ahead of your schedule. unlike me, i came late because i haven't been checking my emails and i haven't receive any text from dole. i only knew that i have an interview that day when they called at our house in the morning. i did not have time to prepare but i think the interview went well because the panel was quite satisfied with my answer.
i chatted among my co-interviewees and noticed that we were all from manila or our preferred location was in manila. could it be that yesterday's event was conducted for manila applicants only or the whole NCR? someone please answer my question because my sister who registered earlier than me did not get any text email or call from dole. so we thought that could it be a random selection because they have friends that registered ahead of them or registered along with them that wasn't invited for an interview.
My appointment today was 1:30pm , But I got interviewed around 5pmThe line and wait was crazy , but the interview was around 10-15 mins.
We were interviewed at Malate, Manila ... DOLE office. The applicants were around 300+ today. I heard tomorrow will be Quezon City ... Get there extra early to be prioritized for your interview. 2-3 hours early !
Medical Certificates were not asked.
Only PRC license, Proof of residence, and Resume ... that's all .
Depending on who will interview you ... get ready for crazy questions like danger signs of pregnancy, immunization schedule, Leupold's maneuver, and etc heheheh ... I got lucky I did not get any of those questions. Mine was more of a casual conversation.
Lastly, be willing to be assign in the provinces !! not Manila ... lucky ones will be in manila but be ready to have a 2nd option.
i already forgot my CHN its been 3 years im scheduled tomorrow at 1pm for sure its gonna be a box office
DOLE said that out of 7000 applicants from NCR, only 192 nurses will be chosen for NCR!!! They said they already interviewed 600 applicants last Feb2. I think the interviews started last Feb1 and will end on Feb4. So, assuming, they interview 600 applicants per day, I guess therell be around 2400 nurse applicants interviewed.
Just want to share. The girl in line with us knew someone from DOLE, so we were joking around that there'll only be 191 slots for us! haha
