Does your state let you administer parental meds as a NS student?

I don't feel like looking it up but I'm curious if the state that your school is in lets you administer medication. I go to a school in Delaware and just found out we're not allowed :(

I mean parenteral. lol

In Ohio we can. We just have to get 100% on our dosage calc. test and we have to pass our skills test for the med pass and injections.

we can in Miss. actually we can give all meds except IV meds. I believe we will do that second year.

I could give everything besides blood and chemo drugs. Now that I am precepting, my nurse trusts me to give all meds without her being present.

Yes, starting with the first day of clinical. Of course we are practicing under the license of our preceptor.

Maybe my friend was mistaken, I haven't actually asked the teachers yet. But some girl whose mom has been a nurse for 20 something years in DE said it. But delaware is kinda slow on somethings..
