Does your school use ATI or HESI exit exam to prepare for NCLEX?

Published

HI, I wanted to know if your school uses ATI or HESI exit exam to prepare for NCLEX. Which one is better?

Could you put the name of your school and whether you use ATI or HESI.

Thank you!!!

My school used both and switched to HESI because they felt it was a better predictor.

Hi 2126, could you tell me what school u go to?

I don't disclose personal info. Sorry!

I attended Kent State University and they use the ATI exam, but it wasn't used as an exit exam. It didn't matter how well you did on it...it was basically for your own personal assessment for the NCLEX. I thought the ATI tests were pretty easy compared to my friend who has to take the HESI. I hope this helps!

My school used neither.

I went to The University of Akron and we used the HESI exit exam.

My school, Keiser Univeristy, used ATI but I don't rememeber seeing any exit exam for it. But there was a "predictor exam" in the last semester of school to see the probability to passing the NCLEX which was 90% for me. I have a big test anxiety so that may be the problem for me.

But I failed NCLEX the first time around. So since my school was with ATI, they gave me a free virtual review with a coach online. So far it is helping me. The length of the virtual review is base on the score of assessment. My review is about 4 weeks, but I am trying to cram it into 3 weeks.
