Tough decision: 2 offers. One school I prefer due to location/tuition versus another which is more recognized.
My question: when getting hired out of school, does where you got your degree matter? Or is it just that you passed boards and how much you personally applied yourself during school?
I know getting hired after my BSN it didn't seem to matter.
Any input would help,
Thanks a bunch

As far as getting jobs it does matter in that different schools have different clinical sites and it makes it that much easier to get a job at a particular hospital right out of school. Other than that, a license is a license. Of course, some programs will be better for you than others .... so that matters too.

I agree, that you should not have a problem getting a job no matter what school you attend. I think that drawing you sights a little more closer to comparing each schools passage rate the first time on the boards is a good indication of what school I would choose.
Location, I thought that would matter at first but when you are living the life as an SRNA you don't really have too much time to like or dislike the location, so it became a matter of indifference where I was once I started the program. It is almost best to be in a place that is undesirable if you were just to live there and not go to school because there will be fewer things that will distract you.
Cost, I always say do whatever it takes to accomplish your goal, even if it puts you 10's of thousands in the hole, eventually it will pay off.

I agree. Go with what fits you best. The COA has mandatory courses of study and required resident hours of each CRNA student, regardless of school. Congrats on getting 2 offers, now choose the one that fits YOU. Recognized shmeckonized. Only CRNAs when you get out.
Good luck.

I think location would be the deciding factor for me, couple that with tuition and you would have a slam dunk decision IMO.
If i had to move and pay more for tuition for the more recognized school, i would very simply stay put.
In my area, the better programs are cheaper .... which is mighty nice.
