Does the PVT Work for Elections????

I will be so glad when this election is over, and I know I am not alone. There is no perfect candidate...never was and probably never will be. But this one has been especially interesting.....not interesting in a good way.

I voted. I did my American duty. I even have a sticker to prove it..should anyone ask.

Even though the election is over.....well all the mud-slinging......now we are all glued to the TV to see how this movie will end. I mean....really...with all the high-powered drama, this does seem like a soap opera....or a horror movie.....or maybe even sci-fi. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.....it did...time and time again.

Many people tried to justify why to vote for one candidate over the other. Or was it....who is the lesser of the two evils?

So here I sit listening to all the talking heads with their projections and analysis of what is happening and who voted for who and why. It is amazing that some many people turned out to vote. That is good...but it means a lot of people will be disappointed, whoever wins. I hope and pray that the country can come together and wise decisions will be made.

It feels like we've been in a marathon with this long and dirty race. And it looks like it will be a very long night before the winner is announced.

I don't know if I can stay up to wait. Does the PVT work for elections????

I've heard criticism about people voting for 3rd party candidates and I find that disgruntlement frustrating because if more citizens were better educated about other candidates instead expecting to choose from a bipolar panel (not meant in the psychiatric meaning), then a viable dark horse candidate has a better chance.

FWIW, my candidate was not even the 3rd party, but in the "other" demographic posted.

I remain ever hopeful that the damage one person can cause is not impossible to overcome, but I admit to having doubts about this. Sadly healthcare reform may be the least of our worries before long. It is NOT a good omen that the world's stock markets temporarily collapsed when the election results were announced.

But we're not talking about "one person" -- the GOP will have complete control of all three branches of the Federal government, the presidency, both houses of Congress, and a majority on the Supreme Court.

Exactly. This is a huge problem. This is why, despite my misgivings, I voted for Clinton.

Took my 88yo father to vote yesterday " for the girl" as he couldn't believe Trump was running. He asked what were all the signs for along the road and entrance to voting location. Poll workers and town councilman all recognized him and thanked him for voting. Upon getting back in the car, he asked me what was that all about. Ravages of vascular dementia, will be the last time he voted.

DH went to bed at 2AM, I staid up watching race as on vacation. When I got up for dental appointment, DH asked if he had a bad dream or did Trump really win the electoral college? 2017 will be a rocky year for healthcare.

When I woke my DH on Wednesday morning with the words "Honey, I have some bad news", he said"Oh, no, do we have to move?"

We may have gotten the bad pop up (honestly I think the other one was way worse), but we may still pass the NCLEX, who knows? I think it's better to wait and find out the results as they come, it might not be as bad as we think.

As for the other bad pop up, I think I got an email from Pearson with my results but it got deleted.

hi did you passed?
