Published

Hey...this is hina. I'm doing gnm from india. I recently got engaged to someone who is a citizen of the united states. I wanted to know if i can give nclex rn directly after having dipoma and without any work experience. I want to do my bachelor's degree from united states..so will this diploma help me get rn title over there so that i can pursue rn to bsn after that?

Anyone having necessary information please reply as soon as possible

In the states, the three ways to be eligible to take RN nclex, graduated from accredited nursing program, diploma, Assoc. degree, and or BSN.......

You would need to contact the state you want to take it in, and see if they would accept your nursing school program.......

That is where I would start.

Best wishes....

Thanks for your quick reply :)

Work experience has nothing to do with it. Whether or not you'll be eligible for licensure in a US state will depend on whether your educational program in India is determined to meet the standards of basic nursing education in the US. The website for the Board of Nursing in whatever state you'll be living in will have all the information you need to apply for licensure as an internationally-educated applicant.

Welcome to allnurses -- best wishes!

Thank you so much:)
