I need to know do all cnas get frustrated with their job. The times I do is when I have something on schedule where im getting everything done on time then boom! something happens. I do not know what it is about it that just gets to me. I am not frustrated at the residents at all and I do a great job at taking care of them and I feel bad when I start getting frustrated when everyone wants something all at once. Its not their fault I understand that. Im I the only CNA that gets like this.

You are not the only CNA that feels this. I am pretty sure no matter anyone's job they get frustrated sometimes. Just remember, priority, priority. You do what you can your shift and if there is something you still haven't had a chance to do(one of those days when it is hectic) just pass on to the other shift what you were unable to do (they will have a smart attitude, but you can only do but so much). For example, one time a older guy asked me at 6 p.m (I get off at 7) if I could shave him and I told him I would try my best. Well, within that hour I had to feed a couple of patients and people were ringing to use the bathroom. Therefore, when I gave report I told them he would like to be shaved I just did not get time to get to it.

I couldn't deal with the frustration when I worked at a LTC facility. I lasted a couple of months and quit. Not worth the stress. I've worked on a busy pediatric floor for over a year now and I can honestly say I don't get frustrated at work ever! There are times when it is crazy busy with new admits, discharges, cranky kiddos and even crankier parents but the nurses and techs on the floor are awesome to work with so there is always somebody available to help out if it gets to be too much for one person to do.
I feel like I might get frustrated a little too easily like If I have people who all want to go use the bathroom while I am trying to get some one dressed it gets to me or if someone soaks the bed while I am trying to feel up my pitchers at the start of my shift. The thing is I never really used to get frustrated or annoyed as easily until I started on might shift I do not know if the lack of sleep I am getting might have something to do with it.

Yep.all the time. I get tired of not using my brain and not being appreciated. But I am happy to have this experience for when I am done with school.

your not the only one who deals with this. I am in the same boat at times. Usually when nurses are stressed out and cannot take care of there patients they start delegating or become frustrated at you and makes you hate your job sometimes. sometimes its frustrating because you don't get to use your brain as much but I value the experience while being in nursing school so when I am done I will understand how to do my patient care better. its all about the power of who ever is on top. if your on the bottom you getting treated like a nobody sometimes. Just do the best you can and not worry if you have a lot of tasks. Its all about prioritizing what is more important and try to finish any task you can.

I get tired of not using my brain...
Last time I checked, CNA's use their brains. In fact the better they were, the more of it they used.
Being a CNA is not "brainless" work and I do wish people would stop perpetuating the myth.
Is it rocket science? No.
But it does require decision making, communication, prioritization and the ability to take past experiences and appropriately apply them to your current situation, along with a dash of creativity...
This all means you use your brain.
Its just for some reason I feel a little easily annoyed sometimes. does this happen with other cnas too.
