I thought we had a decent one. Recently, it has malfunctioned, and required many hours of my own time. The IT guy was actually giggling when I just called.

Well, I would just be happy with ONE EMR. I use one for daily visits, another when I contact the office, One version of epic for one hospital and another Epic version for yet another hospital...and don't get me started on the little hospitals - one doesn't even have everything in an EMR - its on PAPER!!!!!
Believe me, I get it...hope today is better

Yes, I hear what you're saying TraumaRUs. I work full time in one place and Per Diem in another and though both use Epic, there are differences in the site navigation for both. I still like Epic a lot though. My only gripe is that in my full time job, we were transitioned to a minimum of 12-character password preferably a sentence that's hard to decipher by hackers and it's a pain to type it and get multiple rejections for a letter or number or character that was mistakenly typed and it's frustrating when you're trying to put in a stat order.

Our epic just randomly got rid of our results review tab yesterday. Been racking my brain to efficiently compare lab results with previous ones. Results review was super easy to search and scroll back to compare.

It is almost certainly still there, they just may have moved the button for it, unless they removed lab results as a whole from epic in your build (which would defeat the purpose of having epic)
In the lower left hand corner of a chart, there's a button, don't remember what it says exactly, but it lets you go to tabs that it determined you don't use as much - you can put them in a different order yourself.
If in doubt, you can also add a "new rslt" column in a patient list, then double click on the result icon, (vial or exclamation point) and it will take you to the results review page.

Checked the usual places. Raised the question with our operations director. They removed the feature from our build during recent updates. Told me they would have it back in place by Tuesday thankfully. ? I think I'm the only provider in our clinic that uses it because nobody else noticed. Coming from my inpatient background, that's the pane I've always checked for labs.
Ah, you're outpatient. pffft. outpatient. But I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to use the results review tab. So much easier!
What's funny about epic is how much is in there but gate kept. Under our hpi, there's a forms tab for documenting. Mostly only useful for letting the chart help you code at the end. It will automatically set some based on your chief complaint and or allow you to add others. But while the search list is finite, occasionally the cc will trigger a form I can't technically search for. Which is annoying when I want to use that form later on and it's no longer available.

Don't get me started on what they lock up. Annoying to me.
