Does anyone watch ER ???

I never get to watch TV anymore, so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I was at my Mom's today and she tapes a lot of shows she likes and then watches several episodes at a time. Today she was catching up on ER (NBC)from this past season and it was a pretty good.

Administration made some pranksters from the ER go to a class, where they sat almost all day with no instruction. During this time, they each bickered with one another and a NURSE named Abby told the doctors that she chose to become a nurse because she likes interacting with the patients and she enjoys her job and she feels that she takes better care of them. (and much more) She also said that she was 2nd in her class at med school and decided to quit because of this.

ANYONE see this??

I was so happy to see this because it displayed nurses in such a positive light and it was not sexual or funny.

I hope that more tv shows follow this example!

Welllllll, actually, Abby had to quit med school because she didn't have the money to go. I use to love watching ER, but really haven't watched it in a longgggg time.:rolleyes:

I saw that one (actually ive seen them all, god i love NBC) but yes abby had to leave med school cos her dork of an x was late in his payments..so she missed paying for school and had to wait till the next time around, and then she never re-applied..but i loved that episode..except for her alcoholism i think she is awesome...and ofcourse what fun would she be for the show if she was perfect...which none of us are.

I enjoy watching ER, and especially adore Abby. I don't get to see every show, but when I can...I watch. However, I do remember that particular show. :)

Does anyone watch ER? Gator - if you've ever got some free time, there was a very long thread that we kept going through about the last month or 2 of the last season. Very good thread if you ever feel like searching for it. It was in off topic.

I think we should start a countdown to the new season!

OOPS! sorry, I missed that thread! Well, I did check it out and read a lot of it so now I feel that I am up to speed for the next season, although, I agree with Cheerfuldoer, as long as LUKA is on there, who cares! (LOL)

I am a "HUGE" ER fan... I have been watching it since the first season. I didn't know there was a threat for ER fans... I will definitely have to check it out.

Sure do Gator...Reruns are on in the AM on TNT but I never get to see those :o but they also have reruns on the WB on Sunday afternoons, love those:D
