I never get to watch TV anymore, so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I was at my Mom's today and she tapes a lot of shows she likes and then watches several episodes at a time. Today she was catching up on ER (NBC)from this past season and it was a pretty good.
Administration made some pranksters from the ER go to a class, where they sat almost all day with no instruction. During this time, they each bickered with one another and a NURSE named Abby told the doctors that she chose to become a nurse because she likes interacting with the patients and she enjoys her job and she feels that she takes better care of them. (and much more) She also said that she was 2nd in her class at med school and decided to quit because of this.
ANYONE see this??
I was so happy to see this because it displayed nurses in such a positive light and it was not sexual or funny.
I hope that more tv shows follow this example!

Oh Robin, I got chills when you said that! I haven't been watching alot of the reruns this summer because with school out, we're either running wild or watching movies or cartoons. I'm not sure how I'm gonna like a new season without Mark.

i bawled my silly little head off when mark died....and all the weeks leading up to it. my boyfriend had to come into the room to see what was wrong i was crying so loud. to bad it's not like days of our lives so they could bring him back :) ah and yes luca is good but come on girls what about dr. carter i can't be the only one who loves him can i? :)
I think it's funny that alot of nurses b*tch that shows like "ER" are false representations of nursing, and look at us go on and on about how much we love it!
Is it because we have the common sense to recognize that it is just a show? Not to be taken all that seriously?
I'm betting this thread will pass the other one in length. Mention "ER" and none of can seem to be quiet!

No problem! I was just hooking you up with something good since I know you're new and missed it. That doesn't mean this one can't continue! I think we should have an ER forum!
Or at least a Luca forum!
ACK! I'll stop!
