Hi, if anyone out there knows of any travel agency that helps send nurses to Dubai or Abu Dhabi could you please help me out. I really want to go out there to work, but I cannot find a travel company out there. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!! thanks so much!

There are agencies that will place you there for minimum of a one year contract, most are at least two year contracts.

Please just do a search on this forum and you will find several threads giving you the names of agencies that do this type of work. Most are out of the UK.

Thanks so much for your information!!

I am so happy to run across this post. I am interested in going to Dubai also because my daughter wants to visit her Dad there for a year and I would like to be close to her. We are all Americans. I wanted to know if they will allow me to bring my three daughters with me if I am divorced. thanks

If you are interested in a year, rather than locums, MedHunters or Helen Zeigler in Toronto do a lot of recruiting in the middle east. They are ususally very up front and easy to deal with. L

I am in Abu Dhabi at the moment. What kind of nursing do u do? Maybe I can help u? I just hate the word "agency".

Hi, Evie. Is there a specific place that u wanna go in UAE- Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, Sharja? There r many options and the pay is good, the best is tax free. There r not many cardiac hospitals here, but u can find something good in medical ward. Ur b/f can get a job almost everywhere, but considering the mantality here he will be able to work in a clinic, male ward or urology clinic.

U will not be able to live together if u r not husband and wife. U can go out together and he can sleep over in ur place if u r away from hospital premises. Still it is not legal. Everything that is not legal is a big issue here. That is why UAE is a very safe country. U will have to go through the cultural adjustment and for some people it takes few months.

I was directly hired from my country by the hospital. Good luck

Let me know if u have more questions

thanks for the quick reply, elenova! i have been reading some of your posts on other threads. we would like to go to dubai or abu dhabi. if a married couple of RNs go to dubai can they then live together in hospital accommodation or do they usually find accommodation off campus? i have read that if you do not live in the free provided accommodation u can get an allowance, are the rents reasonable?

i really appreciate your help!

Everything depends on the hospital. They may provide u with an accommodation and u can live together if u r husband and wife. U can get allowance if the hospital does not provide u with ccommodation or the pay will be better and u will have to find ur own accommodation.

Dubai is more expensive place to live, but it has more hospitals. Abu Dhabi is the capital, less expensive and more relaxed. There is Al Ain, 3d biggest city that has the biggest hospital in UAE. U may wanna look at it too.

The rent depend on the city. In Dubai they r high. 3 bedrooms flat is at least $ 16000/year. In Abu Dhabi 2 bedrooms flat is $11000/year. For the same ammount in Al Ain my friends got a villa with 3 bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, dining room, living room, computer room and housmade's room.

Hope this was helpful.

Elenova, can I apply to where you are working at ? I would love to work in Dubai. What are the procedures that I have to do to be hired at your hospital ? I just recently pass the Philippine nursing licensure exam. Your help will be most apprieciated.

use your head nieruth ,you realised that your question is unrelevant.?

who will hire a fresh graduate!! you are so desperate to work overseas?

gain more experience before embarking yourself to work elsewhere.

i do understand where you came from...but use your head? you need more amunuition to gotobattle isnt it???? isnnnnttttt!!????
