I don't have orientation until the 11th of August but I was told by a student ahead of me to start reading because we will be given a lot of reading assignments at orientation and will have a test on the material the first week of school. I immediately pulled out my Fundamentals book and started reading so I could have a head start. Is this normal? Does anyone else have homework already as well???
I start third semester ADN/RN on 23rd and we have reading to do and modules too from the Evolve site. I read everything for unit one, but I did this back in May and unfortunately I need to get re-acquainted with the material. So as soon as I finish up the modules, I will be going back over the many chapters for unit I. Busy, busy-but happy to be!!!:redbeathe:nurse: Good Luck to all!
Yup I just finished looking at some infection control, HIPPA, and TB videos that have quizzes that have to be done within the first week so I already did those. I have to now look at some bloodborne pathogen and right to know videos and take the quizzes for that.
I start my junior year on the 23rd but all of my nursing classes use WebCT for information about what is going on so I already have all my syllabuses and in my clinical class I have all the readings and assignments that are due for the semester already printed out and the first 2 weeks of power points. In the first week alone I have 15 chapters to read and 6 journal articles to read for Med Surg, Nursing Ethics and Obstetrics class. I have two other classes Nursing Research and Statistics but there like normal classes you find stuff out when you go lol:).
