Does anyone attend Career Training Solutions in Fredericksburg?

This is what i have heard...LPN is 12 month long, Mo through Th, all day $26000.

RN, 15 month, Mo through FR, all day at about $40000.

I just graduated from Career Training Solutions RN program. I also attended CTS for LPN. I will tell you this: The Instructors are very knowledgable and professional. The amount of clinical sites that you will get a chance to work in is better than any around. Yes, it is expensive, but they do financing, student loans and grants. They will also not change their requirements several times while you are on a waiting list to get in like Germanna Community College did to me. BTW, there isn't really a waiting list. Also, the programs are tough, like any nursing school, however the instructors will work with you if you show an effort and willingness to learn. And, their NCLEX pass rate is one of the best in the area. And, they include an NCLEX review at the end of the program, most Nursing Schools make you do that on your own. So yeah it's expensive, but the results are proven.

Thanks for the info. Have you run into any problems because os the non-nln accreditation?

I haven't had any issues yet. It takes a little while to become accredited. The administrators are working very hard to get the final approval through. Several of us are moving on to get Bachelors degrees and we haven't had any issues yet.

When are you looking to start? Im thinking about going to check the place out this weekend and fyi i live in arlington and yeah the place is pretty far from my house but im thinking about taking the VRE...o, did you go check out the place yet?

No offense to anyone who has been to CTS - I'm sure the program is great. Just to give some perspective, the 2009 NCLEX pass rates were nearly identical to Germanna CC (Virginia Board of Nursing Education Programs), while Germanna costs about $30,000 less.

Germmana (sorry dont know how to spell it and im typing on my phone) also takes about 3 years maybe more considering all the prerequisites and tthe waiting period u maybe given based on priority and the fact it only takes in during fall and the applixations are due months before so economically your loosing at least 2 years nurse salary which would add up to the same amount I feel like.. I know what ur saying though.

Where are you pursuing your BSN? I will be graduating grom CTS shortly; and I am concerned that I won't be able to transfer the credits toward my BSN.

The credits at cts are not transferable anywhere. They are not regionally accredited.but you can still do a rn to bsn program.but you will have to retake all the book work classes.
