There are 3 hospitals I am aware of. Harris county psych center, devero (not sure on the spelling) and ben taub has a psych ward as well. Good luck I'm intrested in psych nursing as well.

I had an aunt with major psych issues, and its always been intresting to me. Stuff that hits close to home is always more rewarding :)

West Oaks Hospital is a pysch hospital. Also Menninger Clinic

Kingwood Pines, Cypress Creek, Menninger Clinic (only hires BSN), MHMRA (Neuro Psychiatric Center and other outpatient clinics), Harris Cty Psychiatric Center, Riverside General Hospital (many PHPs throughout the area), Intracare (several locations), West Oaks, Bellaire, VA Hospital.

MHMRA is the largest organization providing care for psych/mental retardation.

Why psych??? Why not! It's fascinating and very rewarding!!

Yep, West Oaks. Sister worked there PRN a couple of years ago for ~33/hr
