What a heartwarming story, that this MD and RN cared so much, that they spent their own time, money, and hard work to build this for the child. I am so glad they mentioned the RN helping him, so many times we are left out of the "lime light", lol.
I remember once we had a c-sec baby that took FOREVER to get out, was extremely messy, all OR staff had to regown/glove after, and they hand me this mostly dead baby. I was pushing drugs, bagging, and doing chest compressions, etc. The Doc with me was helping, of course, but we went to alot more deliveries than them, so were better and faster during codes. When the babe finally let out a weak cry the OB said "Lets hear it for Dr. suchandsuch".........I was like, guess I am just chopped liver! Anyway, baby was fine and that is what counts!
Whew, sorry about that! Great article, MadWife!
