How would you feel if I told you that before you were born, you chose your life time and you chose your circumstances (with all of it's consequences) in order to provide you with life lessons, all for the sake of preparing you to be a healer and giver, a fixer, a soother, a lover of all of humanity?
How about if it were suggested to you that you have been divinely led to where you are because you are energetically capable to be the provider of comfort and healing to humanity during a New World Order? What about the concept of you having agreed to accept the responsibility of a healer's life? How's this: Did you choose your parents and your upbringing in order to provide you with the nuances necessary to fulfill your Karmic agreement?
Some of you may stop reading this right now. That's alright. Obviously, if you do not believe in the concepts of karma or reincarnation as a result of traditional religious belief, or it simply does not make sense to you logically, this blog post may offend you. If this is the case, please accept my apologies. Make no mistake, though. I only apologize for possibly offending you. I do not apologize for my beliefs. The reason? I believe that all paths are valid and lead to the same truth. Your beliefs are just as valid as mine. My beliefs are just as valid as yours. We simply arrive at Truth in different ways.
Why is this an important subject to raise? Because one of my life's lessons in order to fulfill my soul's agreement is to teach tolerance and respect, the importance of self love and healthy boundaries to other healers. How do I know that this is one of my life's lessons? Because of being on the receiving end of much manipulation and dysfunctional toxicity during my upbringing. Intuitively I know that I chose these unpleasant circumstances, and sure enough, they appeared. And for them, I am grateful. I was faced with a future of energtically giving to others what I was receiving- judgement, blurred boundaries and misery. Free choice and free will met me eye to eye, and I chose the high road. I love being who I am. It is because of the life lessons I chose to take on that I am in the position I am in right now, which is to say I help healers to heal. When we encounter darkness, we are that much closer to the Light.
I ask you to take a reflective look at the circumstances which have arisen in your life. Take a look inward. What led you to healing? Did you bounce back from a neglectful childhood, for example? Do you have abandonment issues? From where do you obtain your sense of self worth, the opinions and feedback of others, or do you simply "know" innately of your value? Is your ego stroked when you give care to others, or do you give from your soul, which only knows compassion?
Just ponder. Just be. Remember you are worthy yourself of the care and nurture which you provide to others, and always Nurse Your Spirit!
home-school mom i once felt as you do, until i began to see that bad things happen to good people too. it does not matter sometimes what you do or who you are. oh i think you have to answer for your actions sometime, but not neccessarily here on earth. how many evil people seem to have everything? how many people who are truly god-fearing, merciful, kind and caring people still have terrible things happen to them? when things are going great we think "i am good, i deserve this wonderful life", but when we still are the same and suddenly everything changes- we lose a job, we develop a terrible illness, we lose a child, our husband strays. what then? is is because we have falllen away from god? no. this is the problem i have with some organized religions. free choice only buys you so much. there is a lot that goes on that i think god has nothing to do with other than to maybe give us strength to endure it. no, i think forrest gump said it best when he said "i don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but i, i think maybe it's both. maybe both is happening at the same time".
CXG I understand how you feel because I used to live in that place spiritually. But just think about the people who are the richest, best looking, most talented, with the "world at their feet" so to speak. How often do we find out years later that they were abused, suicidal, full of drugs, insecurity, and depression? Just because it looks good from the outside doesn't mean that it is. Often times people pay for things in ways that we will never know about and it really doesn't matter. EVERYONE pays. Everyone reaps what they sow whether(sp?) we see it or not. The point is that we have to trust and believe that it's the truth. If you believe that the bible is truth then think of Jesus. He NEVER did anything wrong to anyone and he was constantly ridiculed, mistreated, and killed by the people he came to serve and save.
None of us can say that we have never lied, made fun of someone, cheated or stolen anything. We are not perfect so why should our lives be better than his? We have grace to see us through things and those things make us stronger and able to help others. How many child advocates were molested as children? Would they fight so hard for others if they had never gone through that ? God never wastes a hurt. I've been through plenty and you only find out what you've really learned when you're tested. Hang in there.
And ultimately, everyone's lives are a manifestation of circumstances in perfect order, to learn lessons and to fulfill karma (if you imbibe in such), despite how you are perceived by others. As the previous poster indicated, a person's life may cause us envy or be desirable, yet no life goes without opportunities for angst and pain.
Sociopaths, serial killers, people who commit horrible acts, as much as they disgust us, seem to be part of the plan as well.
I hear you and I understand that we all have to suffer, I can take my own pain but then I see a baby with a brain tumor or a child who is abused and I think no, God can't have anything to do with that. It is unfathomable. When a person has a choice and screws up his or her life with sins, mistakes, whatever you choose to call them it is one thing, but for an innocent child to suffer... That sort of thing has to be a random event.
BTW- Forrest Gump had the best life lessons to teach us didn't he? Be honest, loyal, respectful, love your mom, stand up for what is right, keep your word and treasure your friends!
I totally hear you...how can something so tragic happen to someone so innocent? Somehow it's got to be some sort of a plan, or at least that's how I justify such horrid sadness..whether it be that a circumstance was placed right in front of us so we could learn and grow from it, or ..who knows...a higher power, God, universal energies..maybe one day we will know, if it is meant for us to :) Deep stuff, for sure.
Hi ctmed..good point..and I will counter this out of sincere interest in your point of view: What do you think is responsible for what options are available at that time?
The options you have available at any particular time depends on the sum of the choices made before.
Taking those options depends on if you can see them, have good brain wiring to know a good option is, and research.
But, the choices are not in a vacuum. The choices of other people can limit or increase those choices, too. Often, behind the scenes. Some of it can be good or bad luck.
It can get pretty complex and deep.
I look at life like it is one of those "choose your adventure books" when I was a kid, except a lot better written and real people are changing each other's story and pages.
I also believe that if things were "good" and "positive" all of the time we would run around like billions of spoiled ungrateful children with no appreciation for life's gifts. There would be no need for compassion or charity. I wouldn't trade any of the horrible things that have happened to me. They give me respect, appreciation, and value for the day that I am living right now. They have also taught me to make my decisions carefully.

It is my belief that we live in a sinful world, Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. "Bad" things happen because of this sin that has seperated us from God, the Creator. He did not want us to stay seperated from Him, so He sent His son Jesus to die for our sins. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He sent His one and only begotten son, that who so ever shall believe in Him shall have everlasting life.
I believe I have been born again, not reincarnated. It has been said, born once, die twice; born twice, die once. That simply means, if you are born in the literal and you die, you will spend eternity dead, seperated from God, in a place of toture and torment...hell. If you are born in the literal, then admit to God you are a sinner, believe Jesus died for your sins, and confess Him as Lord and Savior, then you die to self and live for Him ( Jesus ) and when your life on earth has ended you will spend eternity with the One that made life.
It is only through death that we truely find life. So many people are afraid to give up their "lives" that they are never living. Jesus said, I am the way , the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
You are stonger in your belief than many professing to be Christians. I appreciate that you are willing to hear other sides. I was once blinded by darkness, as we all are.
I thank you for the opportunity to share even though we do disagree.
