Do you wear scrubs?

I just started my first job as a school nurse and was surprised to learn that we don't wear scrubs. Do you wear scrubs?

They told me it depends on the school, and mine told me scrubs, unless it's a special dress up day, then no.

In my small city it's about 60% street clothes/business casual 40% scrubs. I chose the former, I'm more comfortable this way and I'm already differentiated enough as the lone healthcare worker in the building.

I always have my gym clothes in my car since I go after work. If I'm ever barfed on they'll have to deal with me in running pants, a shirt and sneakers, I'll look like all the PE teachers!

No scrubs here. However, after "the incident" I now keep a spare set in my car. Let's just say it involved my 1:1 student, liquid poo, and an elastic waistband that snapped out of my slippery gloved hand. *shudder*

I wear scrub pants and a navy blue t-shirt with RN/Caduceus on the chest and NURSE on the back. Sometimes I'll wear scrub tops.
