I am getting an A in microbiology, an A in anatomy and physiology one, a high B in gen chem. If my grades hold I will have a 3.4 cumulative, and above a 3.6 science gpa. If I could squeeze out 4 As in my classes, well within possibility with seven weeks left, I could get to 3.5 cumulative.

My target school Resurection university requires a 2.75 in cumulative, and science just to apply, but their average GPA for acceptance is around 3.1 cumulative, and 3.35 for science. My big worry is not my GPA, but my teas score 71.9, they require 68 to apply. The average accepted teas score is about 80. I have one more shot should I retake it? Secondly my big concern is when I started back to school a year ago my cumulative was 2.6 because I failed several pre college credit classes, and algebra. Ironically I tutor algebra now because I have above a 3.0 cum, and I got an A in algebra my second time around.

I think if my grades hold two As, and a B in science, plus a high B, or low A in humanities I will be accepted. Still I have a questionable academic past some my own fault, some due to illness.

Really I just don't want to be defined by my past. The math seems to indicate I will be competitive for ResU, and it is where I want to go, but I still worry.

Should I retake the Teas this summer, or in the fall if my grades hold. If they do I will have a 3.4, or maybe a 3.5, and a 3.65ish in science, If I pull off four As I will have a 4.0 science GPA, which I think would make me a good candidate.

What do you think?
