Do you guys see a lot of people saying they are nursing students....

or go to nursing school and than find out they are still in the Pre Req phase? I swear I have seen a good number of people do this, and than when I say, "Oh what semester are you in, I am in this semester" they are like, Oh well I am not actually in yet but I start pre reqs soon, or I just started pre reqs. I wonder why that is. Before I started the actual program I would say if asked that I was doing Pre Reqs to get into the nursing program. Or I am on the waitlist for the nursing program.

These boards will give you such a good insight to what is to come too. I was pretty well prepared for what to expect when I actually started the program from reading these boards. (in fact school wasn't near as bad as what was portrayed here)

I used to post in the Pre Nursing section all the time and I have been waiting until I graduate to go and make a positive post in there for people to keep hope up since I would have gone from there to nursing school to graduating. I remember how easy it could be sometimes to start losing momentum. I have been working on this for so long that it almost seems surreal. Was on the waitlist for 3.5 years because that's how my school did it. So I had 1.5 years of Pre Reqs on a quarter system than was able to get on the waitlist, after that I moved to CO and did my Co-reqs while waiting. Now I am about to graduate in 43 days! I did the ADN first and than am enrolling right away into a RN-BSN

CONGRATS!!! lol

I know I have been doing pre-reqs for years! (it also didn't help my job didn't allow me to take SOME of the pre-reqs so that was an extra year)

But I know its all worth it in the end...

Its just time goes by soooooooooooooooooo sllllllllllllooooooooooooooowwwww

I noticed in your earlier post you said you wanted to go for your master's so I think the BSN might be a good idea. I wanted to do the same and thought my adn would be faster but actually one university by me was the same time so i decided to do the bsn program instead. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:heartbeat

Yes I am thinking BSN is a good idea but my thing is....its another year and a half to get into one, when I can get into an ADN program in a year...I know its only like a 6 month difference, but like MVL (sorry I totally abbreviated your name lol)said was that its been such a long wait and sometimes I feel like I am never going to get there!

doesn't help that I am incredibly impatient too

I just got my acceptance letter so I guess it's official...I'm a nursing student!!! Woot woot!!!

I'm so excited!!!:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

It always amazes me how many assumptions someone can make from a statement. Tons of reading into what is said and turning it into things that weren't said.

Really makes me wonder if the posts are even actually read or if some people are just so hyper-defensive they only see what they want to see.

If this many people are reading into and assuming things about a simple question, no wonder there's so many threads asking for advice about how to pass nursing school exams. Cardinal rule #1: "Don't read into the questions!"
