Ok, not really. But do you study even on the weekends or do you try to do it during the week so you have some what of a life on the weekend. I have been try to study this morning for two tests I have monday and I can't get motivated!

Set yourself up in a quiet place. Study for no more than 35 minutes at a sitting and take a break after that 35 minutes to do nothing important. Your brain only has the ability to stay focused for about 35 minutes thats why I say that. Beyond that you lose interest.
I used to read the material, THEN re-read material highlighting important info and follow that up with taking the highlighted material from the book and putting it in a notebook. That way you keep all the important info.
Please note, if you find yourself highlighting every sentence, it's time to put the book down and take a break, no matter if it's been 5 min or 30.
Once you've spent day one with reading, then highlighting while re-reading, spend day 2 writing notes from your reading. You will find that after you have the notes from the reading, any handouts you got from lectures will make more sense. Then follow up with any additional notes in your notebook.
If you find that test questions come more from lectures than from the book, reverse this technique, lecture notes first, add in extras from the book as you see they are missing.
Any other questions I can try to help. This format of studying helped me alot.

I do study 7 days a week, usually.
This weekend seems to be a complete waste.
We had an exam Wednesday, so no lecture. I don't have anything to study...well, I tried to study my chemistry, but I'd rather wait to have the instuctor explain it to us, then go home and study it. (Stoichiometry)
I did study 7 days a week for all my other classes, though.
I'm sure after Monday's lecture, I'll be back to the 7 days a week thing. lol
Good luck!!! (GET TO STUDYING!!!!) :)

I go to school Tues/ Thurs. I study when I get home for about 30 mins- 1 hr....skimming that days material. Mon/Wed/Fri I put in a good 3-4 hours of studying. Sat/Sun...nada.
This is new for me this semester, though. During A+P I + II I studied 7 days a week...well Micro doesn't demand that from me *yet*...so I adjusted

don't say the "S" word!! :chuckle
My motto last semester when I was taking inorganic, organic and biochem was "Chemistry is a four letter word!" Hang on there!

LOL!
I know I called Microbiology: "MicroSUX!" during the 8 week class I took. ChemiSUX! doesn't really sound right, but I may be thinking that before the end of this 8 week class! haha

Well .... I fully intended to study this weekend but didn't!! I think I need a quiet place away from my house .. too distracting .. I am thinking the library might become my best friend on weekends if I can pry myself away from the computer! It was actually a constant debate within me (need the break, need to study, etc. lol).
GL with your tests and let us know how you do!

I usually put off studying until the last minute (don't advise that), but you have to find your best time and place. I go to school all day Tuesdays, work 7p-7a Tuesday nights, sleep and do my care plan on Wednesdays for Clinicals (6a-4p) on Thursday and Fridays, and then try to recover on Saturday and make up time lost with my husband before going to work on Sunday night (7p-7a) and sleeping the day away on Monday. And the week begins again.... I try to study on weekends and after my classes and before work on Tuesdays. I also try to squeeze in reading at work if time allows... Best wishes. Just know that this is temporary and will soon be over...
Well it's past 12 AM, and I'm up studying Chemistry, and have been studying most of the day.
So much for a weekend....I have my second Chem test Monday, so I'll be back at it when I wake up tomorrow morning before the kiddos wake up.
Good luck, everyone. :)

I pretty much have to study 7 days a week also. I did take tonight off and go out with my boyfriend. I'll be back to studying again in the morning though. I have a big Medical Terminology test on Tuesday. I really want to get an A on it. I only got an 80 on our first test and a 78 on our second one. Its driving me crazy. I though that this would be my most simple class. I am pulling A's in all of my other classes. (not sure about human bio yet, we just had a test and I wont know what I got on it until Tuesday. The test was really quite hard. I have no idea how I did on it but I sure hope that I at least got a B).
I wish that I didn't have to work. It would make school so much easier!!
Good luck on your exam, and I hope you enjoyed your night out! :)
Your grades are good for having to work. I couldn't imagine having to work and go to school. Hopefully, it will continue that I don't.
