Hi guys, Triage is very busy and stressful in my hospital (like in most hospitals) I've heard that some hospitals pay from $1 to $3 x-tra for triage nurses, does anybody have any input on this, I'm trying to push for this Triage differential pay in my hospital in El Centro CA. I will appreciate your comments.

i've never worked anywhere where they paid you a diff for triage. in memphis we needed combat pay...and it seemed like we were assigned triage only when we made someone mad. up here in northwest arkansas most people don't mind working in triage. i definitely don't mind it...memphis, rude people, a sometimes 8 hour wait in the winter time...here in fayetteville, mostly polite people, and waiting for 2 hours in the waiting room is "waiting all day". lol. i'm always happy to work triage here. :snowman1:
