Do you get covid pay, if you are a part time employee? I need to be off from work, because of contracting covid from my workplace ; and I got denied covid pay because I am not full time. Can they legally do that?

What state do you work in? I think here in California they give you the amount of hours in covid pay that you work on a weekly basis, if you work 24 hours a week then you are given 48 hours or two weeks pay to recover.

I’m an LPN in a physician’s office who has been pulled to help in the hospital (I have zero hospital experience!). There’s supposed to be a $5.00/hour deployment differential BUT there’s apparently been issues with some of us getting that pay. I’ll let you know if I get it.

????? Oh God COVID pay, too funny.

My hospital did manage to pay us a bonus if... IF we sign up to work extra shift. The bonus is an addition to overtime pay. So you can call that covid pay, I guess

Really depends on your specific contract and the employment laws where you work. We don't have any COVID pay/differential where I work. Case counts at my hospital have been, and remain low - those who work on our (2) COVID/PUI units volunteered to do so.

We get paid if we are out for testing - no extra pay for taking care of patients with Covid.

We got COVID pay back in March. Those who had direct contact with COVID patients received more, but then everyone else at the hospital I worked at received extra pay as well. It lasted up until June or July I think. Then the numbers went down then we had less COVID units. But back in November we opened up more COVID units and did not get COVID pay anymore.

I think we all got a $200 one-time bonus back in June. I'd rather get nothing than hear about how the hospital was so "generous".

We get a differential of a couple dollars that pay roll sometimes remembers to add on. People have had a lot of difficulty getting it added to their checks for some reason. The differential is a nice gesture, but similar to JBM's experience, management likes to throw it in our faces whenever someone drops dead of exhaustion, that our "heroic" work is being rewarded. ?
