I'm interested in this concept. We are all individuals. Our ancestors came from such diverse localities and were accustomed to vastly different diets.
The company that provides this service claims that this can guide each individual towards the diet that is healthiest for them.
Thoughts?

A good diet - according to what our ancestors used to eat - would be simple, no chemical additives, low on sugar, high on fiber ... you get the idea. I don't need an expensive test to tell me that.

There have been some interesting evidenced based scientific studies that showed some evidence that a native indigenous population's microbiome was uniquely adapted to the whatever was readily available for them to eat.
Indigenous populations living above the artic circle surviving on whale blubber for example.
This was a very small preliminary study which of course con artists saw as a gold mine for the gullible public to send money and a DNA sample to match their ancestry with a specific diet.
Almost all of the USA, and probably most of the world's population today is composed of mutts.

Sounds like a 2017 version of the blood type diet.
Really just giving away money with extra steps.
