Disheartening PMHNP Job Search

Hello, 

I am very curious if anyone else if having a difficult time finding a PMHNP position? I have been searching for about 6-months in Florida with no luck. It’s been disheartening to say the least. A lot of postings are by recruiters. I have never been ignored so much! My emails go unanswered even after they seem to make all these promises to set up interviews, etc. Has anyone else ever had this experience? I have discovered that being very picky on the Job Search has greatly limited what I can find. I prefer to not go back into community health. Any advice is appreciated.

I am a student, so not there yet.  However, a co-worker of mine graduated 7 months ago and just got her first job.  She is in the DFW area.  Not sure about FL, but I think TX is somewhat flooded with PMHNPs.  There are so many programs now.  Hang in there; it may just take a little time.  All the best!
