Paris Terrorism - Volunteers ?

Nurses COVID

Published

Inquiry as to anyone knowing of volunteers needed ? We are all Parisians today, no different ( except by numbers ) than those who stood by us here in the US after 9-11 ! Does anyone know of any nursing opportunities to volunteer after the horrendous ( and cowardly ) attack in Paris yesterday ( Friday, 11-13-15 ) ?

Nurse, Master's degree in Psych / Mental Health Nursing, prior overseas experience working in crisis situations ( refugee camps, Thailand and Cambodia after the mad man Pol Pot killed over one million of his countrymen ) and locally here in the states ( Louisiana post Katrina for three weeks in 2005 ) and locally in two different states, mobile crisis unit, East Orange NJ and Baltimore, MD ........

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY TO ASSIST WITH SURVIVING TERROR

My guess would be that at this time, organizations are not accepting new volunteers for current crises. These teams require a fair amount of training and may need medical testing/immunizations/etc prior to heading out. However, I'm sure there are organizations that would be wiling to work with new volunteers to complete the training once the current crisis is over to assist with future endeavors.

Since France really isn't letting anyone in at this time, I would say, No.

Plenty of opportunities elsewhere, I'm sure.
