ROFL! I will soon be a graduate nurse and I can see myself doing all those things. :rotfl: I remember once, when I was a CNA in ltc we had a patient on a low bed who rolled over onto the floor pad (about a 2 inch drop) and the nurse just freaked out, she was doing neuro checks and vital signs and running around like crazy. On the flip side, I have seen new nurses look at a patient in crisis and just say, well I'll leave a note in the chart, then we end up sending them out 911. So, unless you're experienced I guess it's better to err on the side of caution. But I have to say, when I see a nurse keep her/his head together in a crisis and calmly do everything that needs to be done I really have a lot of respect and I will definitely try to emulate that behavior.

Yep, that's me. :barf02: I'm getting better though. As long as there's no dairy products involved, I can tolerate it now. If it lands on me though, all bets are off. :chuckle God help me when I have kids. I'm done for.

You know what? I'm a new mom and you'll get through it. When we first came home from Poland with our twin baby girls we had a small 'reflux' issue to be worked out.

Yep, I unexpectedly caught the full load on my shoulder, then had both girls crying on my other, clean shoulder, and my DH laughing hysterically in the hallway because he knows I'm a 'sympathy hurler'. Even when the cats barf, I gag.

I managed and then laughed myself to tears.

As for experienced vs new grad, this puts me somewhere in between. :p
