Did PVT trick; took payment

I took the RN exam yesterday. 234 questions. Priority, delegation, tons on peripheral venous access devices, maternal, but not one calculation.

Has anyone passed even though it took your card? I'm pretty certain no, but I guess I'm praying for a Hail Mary to get me through today and tomorrow.

Thanks so much

You probably passed. If you did then you just made a huge donation to Pearson. Lol

I hope so. I did the trick the second I got back to my car. First I changed the expiration date and it gave me the declined pop up. I then got the email a few minutes later and did it with correct numbers and was charged. I now have an open registration. =(

At this point, I am so beat down that I would take the donation as opposed to retaking it.. lol

Just wait for the quick results then. Try not to do the PVT anymore because it might charge you again

I won't say you probably passed because the likelihood of that happening after you paid for another registration is pretty small. Yes, it's happened, but you should prepare yourself for the more likely possibility that you did fail. If you passed you're out $200 needlessly. If you failed you needed another exam anyway, right?

I really wish people would stop torturing themselves over this thing.

At any rate, I wish you good luck, either for this time or the next :-)

I agree, I wish I didn't even attempt it in the first place. Everyone in my class did prior to me and it worked for them so I took a gamble. I literally did it 5 minutes after the exam.... shame on me.

I have read a few stories of people actually passing after payment and they were ones who did the trick immediately so I am trying to hold on to that 1% chance of hope. - If it weren't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all so I just need to breathe and wait out the next 3 hours.

Thank you anyhow!

Did you get your results yet??

Not yet. I took the exam at 11am and finished at 2:30pm. I have been stalking ..... butterflies like crazy. I think it is 48 hrs from when you finish so I still have a few more hours of torture to go.

Note to the new crop of grads who cannot seem to keep from doing the PVT. The exam is scored TWICE in a 24 hour period. TWICE!!! Which means if you are on the bubble they will review it and there is a possibility that a pass could become a fail or vice versa. The moral of the story is if you are compelled to do the PVT at least wait 24 hours after you've finished the exam before trying it. Yes there are people who have gotten the "good" pop-up who have later found out they failed and the same goes for the other way around. Or better yet, pay for the quick results and find something fun and distracting to do while you wait.

I wish I was smart enough to look into this prior. I did the trick within minutes of finishing because the rest of my classmates did so and it supposedly worked for them. I will officially know today and I am literally on the verge of getting sick I am so nervous. Expect the worst; hope for the best.

I will for sure on any other thread regarding this to tell people to just wait.... don't bother with this supposed trick!!

It's official. I failed. PVT does work although I will not do that next time

I had 40-50 SATA is there a good reason for this? I mean I clocked out at 85. What is the chance of passing that!
