Did you keep your RN license and why?

Hi everyone,

I am a newly licensed FNP and I am currently job hunting. I was just wondering if any of you kept your RN license even after securing an NP job. A part of me feels like I don't know what the future holds for my NP career so I wonder if having my RN license is a smart move.

Well....in my state it is mandatory for an NP to keep their active RN license and if not, there are hefty fines to pay.

You guys this poster is in Canada. While, yes those of us in the US must keep our RN license it might not be that way in Canada.
