Did anyone here take the NCLEX in CA on Tues (14th)?

Published

I am just wondering if anyone on here took the NCLEX in California this past Tues. (Oct 14th.). If so....have your results been posted on the BRN website? All of my fellow classmates who have taken it already have said that if I took it on Tuesday I would find out my result today. However, the BRN system updated this morning and my name was not on it. :crying2:

Yesterday the BRN verification page said that the last update was on 10/15 (2 days ago). Today, I woke up at 4am and it still said the last update was 10/15. So i went back to sleep and when I woke up it said the last update was 10/16??? Is it a day behind? Or isit always like that? I know tomorrow is Saturday but will it update tomorrow morning with todays date or will I have to live all weekend knowing that I probably did not pass. Maybe it will post on Monday, I dunno. Bt most of my fellow classmates swear it only takes 3 days. BTW... I took my test at 2pm. You think that could have affected when the posting will be?

I dunno...I have been seriously stressing. Which I have noticed is a common trend for people in my situtation. Why couldn't CA just participate in Quick results......Geeeesh!

CA will permit a new grad to test before they have a completed file on them; as long as your name is on the roster that is sent in by your school, you are granted permission to test.

There are only 27 states out of 50 that participate in Quick Results, so CA is far from being the only one.

Average wait time in CA to get results happens to be 10 days and not the early three days that we sometimes see, and it can take up to a month.

You are just going to need to have to wait, the website is not updated continuously.

Best of luck to you.

Results take anything from 3-10 days or even longer. Nothing you can do until you either see name on website (if you have SSN) or wait for a letter

I took the California RN on Tuesday Oct 14, and my name and license # appeard this am on the website.

Good Luck

Thank you!

As I stated, not just a few but my entire class who took the NCLEX got their results in 3 days from the BRN verification website. I do have a SSN, I was born and raised in America. I know that snail mail results can take up to 3 weeks but I was told, if you passed, the BRN website will have your name and license number on there in 3 days---possibly 4. Like I said, I'm just freaking out and worrying too much.

Would like to hear from someone who took it on Tuesday and did or did not find out their results--just for piece of mind, or at least my sanity. :clown:

Congrats to you!

And Thank you for responding...That's what I thought. Did you take it in the AM or PM? I don't know if that makes a difference but I'm looking for every excuse to have a little hope.

And does anyone know if the CA BRN verification page will update tomorrow (Sat.) with today's date? As I stated in my 1st post, it updated today with yesterdays date. Thanks to all that reply.

Just because your friends have their results doesn't mean anything for you. There still could be an issue with your file. We have seen someone post that their transcript didn't arrive where as everyone else in their group did and in the end turned out to have been filled in another person's filed so mistakes can happen. Also results can still take up to 10 days to show.

As Anna has mentioned, just because others in your group got their name on the website for the BRN; it does not mean for a fact that you have a completed file. They will not issue a license to you until that is done. Could have been that the transcripts did not make it to your file or an issue with your fingerprints.

And it does not matter which state that the exam was written for. CA does their own review of each and every file once they receive the results from Pearson-Vue and they are unable to do a thing with them unless your file is complete.

There is absolutely no reason to have little hope, 85% pass the first time so luck is on your side. And there have been people here that have waited close to a month and they have received their license.

We suggest that if you do not hear anything by the time that 14 days have passed, that you then contact them.

Offices of the BRN are not open on weekends, nor holidays.

Best of luck to you, there is nothing else that you can do but sit tight.

Suzanne, you are right. I am sorry for creating a similar thread. Although accusing me of spamming is quite harsh. Maybe I should have posted my second thread 1st. This thread is asking who took the NCLEX on Tues in Cali. My other asked, who took the board in any state, at any time and how long did it take to get results. I thought I would get more replies if I asked it a bit more vaguely.

I have called the BRN and they have told me that they have everything for my file. I will take your advice and sit tight. No need to vent, complain, or further fuel my anxiety by posting/reading these type of threads. Que sera sera. Thanks again.

me too i took last oct 14 tuesday... my name didnt show up in CA BRN... and now, its oct 20... i guess i failed at 75...well gotta move on and study now... hey did ur name show up snowman at the web?

I am not picking on you, it is just that we ask that you keep similar questions to one thread and not create others essentially on the same idea or question. It makes it easier for all here to follow.

And in bulletin board talk, when one posts similar questions in several places, it is considered spamming; or at least what we call as such.

Thanks for your understanding. And please do let us know when you get your results.

Best of luck to you.

Again, this is only one week. Average time to see your name on their site is a full ten days; not two to three days.

Never assume anything with this exam. Passing is actually in your favor since 85% pass the first time.

Best of luck to you.
