I may get into the ADN program coming up,, but because I have a bachelors in business, I won't be able to get financial aid.. Any of you guys ever got a local hospital to help pay for classes in return for a work contract? Any details on doing that? Thanks.

In my area most hospitals have all but ceased the tuition reimbursement programs (with the exception of some hospitals going for Magnet status partially assisting some ADN/RN or Diploma/RN students attain their BSN)
When I worked in hospitals previously, the tuition reimbursement plans were restricted to current employees with a certain level of service (1 or 2 years). Only certain coursework/degree programs were reimbursable (such as RN, radiology, or other jobs in demand). The local programs were all tuition reimbursement (you pay for your classes up front, they work with you on adjusting your work schedule to attend classes, earn a C+ or higher (sometimes at least a B) and they would reimburse you 50-100% of your tuition and fees. The requirement was 1-2 years working per year of reimbursement.)

There's a girl in my class who managed to snag that. I think she's crazy. She'll be working a year for every thousand dollars paid or so I hear. That means she'll be there between 12 and 14 years, but that's fine. For her the world stops at the city limits of that hospital.

Quite a few hospitals offer some kind of program like this (although many have cut back in recent years, since the economy tanked). Aside from those employers that already have existing programs of some kind, I'm not sure how much luck one would have just approaching a local hospital and offering to work for them in the future in exchange for them paying for you to go to school.
My current employer has a program that offers tuition reimbursement to employees -- they have cut 'way back on this recently, now only offer reimbursement for nursing school tuition, and don't do as much of that as they used to. Still, I've worked with several CNAs and LPNs who were going to nursing school through that program.

My hospital has two programs. The first being tuition reimbursement up to like $1000 per semester for full time workers that is paid after 6 months.
The other is a scholarship/loan. They actually just changed the policy on it. It used to be any nursing student could apply for it and get $2500 per semester and be required to work one year for deferment of the loan. Max of two years. After those two years now you can apply for another 4k per year to help pay back loans. It might not seem like much but my school and cost of living out here is pretty low. You have to be working at the hospital now to be eligible for this. I was the last person to get it without ever working at the hospital before this.
