Im Just Curious I wanted to know ANYONE applied and got Accepted to the City's LPN Program Brooklyn Adult learning center (BALC).... OR Mid Manhattan Adult learning Center For FALL 2008 I haven't seen Any Post on people saying that got accepted to the program. I bet Thousands Took the CNET, I was one of them but missed it by 2 points. But my Entire Percentile was over 40 percent. But oh well.....
:zzzzz
I went to Coler-Goldwater Hospital LPN program. It is also under NYC Dept. of Ed. They just started this program last year and I am fortunate to be one of their scholars. Yes, everything is free! I took CNET, and TABE. After you passed those exams, there was an essay writing and an interview. CPR was also provided free. I graduated last June and doing the review now for the board.
I meet a couple of people at Coler-Goldwater when I went for my interview. i also did that essay. Unfortunately only those who were approve of the scholarship gets to attend coler-goldwater, everyone else who where accepted goes either to mid manhattan or brooklyn.
My income was to high to obtain the scholarship. I was disappointed, bcause for me i dont thnk my income was that high, another factor is hhc employees have first choice for the scholarships.
Anyway i am just happy to be accepted. Thank u God....
hey everyone,
i have just received the acceptance letter three days ago from the program but i was stuck with the mid-manhattan site. everything seems so rushed all of a sudden. the letterhead was dated july 9th and since i received the acceptance letter a few days ago they require us to fill out, fax over another application and forward the application to them via certified mail by july 30th. also does anyone have to pay the tuition fee? i have to pay them a week before classes start. as for the cpr cert, i've been checking www.nyredcross.org as well, they offer plenty of classes and fairly reasonable rates.
other than that, i'm a guy who got accepted as well :wink2:

Dear Trininurse16,
When did you receive your letter? I am still waiting for my letter to arrive. Also, is there a provision for financial aid or loan to finance or pay the $2000. When is the $2000 due?
Thanks.
