  1. CONGRATULATIONS annamaria32! You are now a .
  2. Yes, City Hospitals do hire LPNs. I work in Coler-Goldwater Hospital in Roosevelt Island. Newly grad pay is $40000 and benefits are good.
  3. Good luck annamaria32!! I know that you can do it. Trust yourself. :wink2:
  4. I took the Nclex-pn last Wednesday, September 3. I had like 3-4 SATA everything was about Meds, 5-6 Pharmacology, 2 Calculations and a lot of prioritization and infection control. My test ended at 85 questions. After the test I was really positive that I failed! But I found out today that I passed! Good luck to everybody!
  5. I also used the Saunders and Mosby. You really don't have to memorize them. Just make sure that you do understand the rationales. The things that you need to memorize are the lab values, and about the infection control like which diseases are for Airborne, Contact, and Droplet precautions. That really helped me a lot. Use the following links: https://allnurses.com/forums/f197/quick-facts-nclex-infecton-control-314902.html https://allnurses.com/forums/f197/april-2008-nclex-test-takers-come-281310-29.html Btw, I took the nclex-pn last Sept3, 08. Just found out today that I passed!

  10. I went to Coler-Goldwater Hospital LPN program. It is also under NYC Dept. of Ed. They just started this program last year and I am fortunate to be one of their scholars. Yes, everything is free! I took CNET, and TABE. After you passed those exams, there was an essay writing and an interview. CPR was also provided free. I graduated last June and doing the review now for the board.
  11. I was accepted in the program last year and just graduated last June. I belong to the first batch because this program is pretty new. It is under NYC Dept. of Ed. and is being funded by the city. You don't have to pay anything, everything is free (scholarship). We are already doing our 4-week review, and will end at the end of this month.
