Did anyone Get accepted to Brooklyn Adult learning Center for FALL 2008?Mid Manhattan

Published

Im Just Curious I wanted to know ANYONE applied and got Accepted to the City's LPN Program Brooklyn Adult learning center (BALC).... OR Mid Manhattan Adult learning Center For FALL 2008 I haven't seen Any Post on people saying that got accepted to the program. I bet Thousands Took the CNET, I was one of them but missed it by 2 points. But my Entire Percentile was over 40 percent. But oh well.....

:zzzzz

after missing the mark by the dreaded 2 points last year, i was determined to get into the program. i just faxed my acceptance letter back to them. the letter stated that on september 3rd in order to complete registration i need to have with me my drivers license or state id, a money order for the sum of$1,140.00 and a copy of a current cpr card. the test wasn't easy. cnet offers study material and copies of previous exams. the more exams i took the better prepared for the test i got. it paid off. i am very proud to answer yes. i got accepted!:yeah:

thank you FutureRNelizabeth! I live in bay ridge, brooklyn. I wanted to go for roosevelt island site but that quickly got filled up so i'll be attending the mid-manhattan site instead.

seanlpn: hey remember its money order only and sadly the maximum you can put on a money order is $1000. so I had to split up the amount meaning you have to pay a small fee for two money orders instead of one.

did anyone happen to get their cpr cert yet?

Hey I just spoke with Theresa Sheil who advised classes are filling up fast. Most applicants have already paid their fee and some people may have to split their classes between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

With regards to the CPR card the American Heart Association offers a BLS for Health Care Providers its about $80 I am working on getting that now. hey I got that info from the link you posted.

JTSANG. how are you going to the mid manhattan site if they didn't even set it up yet? On Sept 3.. EVERYONE has to go there..then they tell you there if you can get into the brooklyn one or mid manhattan..i really want to get into the brooklyn one theresa is such a sweetheart!!!!!

I was planning to hop on the D train and hope the trains will be running on schedule. I wouldn't want to be late for school lol

FutureRNelizabeth: I had just went up to roosevelt to pay yesterday so the mid manhattan site should be ready for us when sept 3rd comes around.

Congratulations to all you guys who got accepted to the BOE LPN program.

Good luck, hard work conquers all. From the info i have gathered from previous students the program is quite intensive, but if you put your minds into it you will succeed.

I'll be seeing you guys on the 3rd Sept @ the Mid manhattan location.

Good luck!!!!!

Elizabeth: What part of Brooklyn are you from?

I would suggest you go throught the American Heart Association(google it and you search by zip code) to renew your CPR b/c it's good for two years. The red cross is only good for one year and more money.
