Hi guys,
I finally broke down and decided to ask. The anticipation is killing me and I'm driving everyone around me crazy.... The only good thing is that my nervousness is controlled by physical activity, so I'm working out a lot more right now.
For any of you that did apply, do you remember when they said they would send out acceptance letters? I think they said most people will know by the end of April, but maybe it was that they'll start sending letters at the end of April. So, did anyone hear from them yet?
I really want to call them and ask, but they had big signs posted all over the building asking to NOT call them about your application status. I think it's a little weird that they don't even send you a confirmation that your application was received in the first place and on top of that you're not allowed to call them at all.

well they receive 1700 applications for 140 daytime seats. theyre going to try and implement an interview for applicants but its tough to sort through ALLLLLLLLL those applicants. I tried out last year and i got my rejection letter april 25th around there
as for the confirmation letter, think about it. with their tuition SO low how can they respond to all those applicants via mail?
at least ur putting that energy into something good like working out..i on the other hand have been eating LOL
once u live in nassau county the letter will get there within 24 hours, if you dont receive anything by the end of april, then that might be a good thing. I think they send out the rejection letters first
Good luck!!!!!!:icon_hug:
Hi Nat,
Thanks for replying so quick! Did you apply again for this year? If yes, I really hope you get in.
I heard from a classmate that they supposedly got 2100 applications at the end of the 1st application week this year. I don't know if that's true, but if is ...good G** them's some tall odds.
To make matters worse I applied for the evening program because there is no way I can stop working...I'm in that gray area where I make way too much for financial aid but way too little to apply to private school. I feel super stressed and my boyfriend just can't understand why I am stressing so much when my lowest grade is a B+. Honestly, I feel a little disturbed that I have to worry when my lowest grade is a B+ and I know some of my friends think I'm fishing for compliments and roll their eyes when I mention that..only I'm really not. that's just how competitive the program is.
And the part of the tuition that we (the students) pay is really small, but the difference is paid by the state. That's why they are so anal about how many classes you can miss, b/c if attendance isn't good they lose their state funding. It would not be such a financial drain for them to send out letters or maybe emails.
Yeap I am a glutton for punishment ..I applied again LOL but this time I applied to more than one school. My biggest mistake was not attaching my old english grade from QCC (which was an A) to my application everytime. SOOOO what ended up happening was they took that transfer credit, and looked at it as a C.
I know what you mean about the B+, I think they have like 30 something seats for evening, and they have the same amount for the Spring 09 semester. So keep trying, and if you dont get in save money!
Molloy will accept anyone, but theyre SO expensive
I hope you get in at whichever your top choice is. My friend did the same thing with not submitting the transcript. They automatically assign it a "C" and she thinks that's why she didn't get in the year before. She fixed it and got in on her next try.
Molloy will only accept 40 transfer credits, and since I already have a bachelor from FIT and took all the pre-nursing classes at Nassau that would really be a losing financial proposition for me. That school is definitely out for me. If I don't get in I'll reapply at Nassau (I am currently taking micro), and try Farmingdale and Phillips Beth Israel.

I got in Fall '07. Applications are due in the middle of March or Feb or something, right? We didn't find out we were accepted until last week of April-early May. I had registered for other classes in case I didn't get in, but I got in and dropped those classes in early May '07.
NCC is a trip, that's for sure... I'm almost halfway done :)
