What about scopalamine, or ABHR (Ativan, Benadryl, haldol, reglan) We have a man on services right now that has n/v. Scoplamaine and ABHR works well. Good luck. Keep us posted.

We recently tried a scopalamine patch on a couple of patients with abdominal cancers who had very bad nausea problems. It was quite successful. ABHR suppositories are another good idea to try. Sometimes they work wonders.

Brain mets w/constant vomiting often responds to decadron to decrease swelling in brain if she's not getting help from other meds.
Try Ratched 's meds first, then decadron before jumping to webbslark suggested meds. Hope you have an experienced Hospice nurse to guide you. Make daily calls to staff until you find the right combination--if severe enough maybe an inpatient Hospice unit till get symptoms under control.
Sending a {{{{{{hug}}}}} to get thru days ahead.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest, ABHR. This can be compounded into a gel ,so it can be rubbed on the skin. When everything else has failed ,this in the end works for our patients that have the worst episodes of vomiting.

My heart goes out to you. Hoping our hospice nurses here on Allnurses have given you the advice you need to help your mother be more comfortable. God Bless. Both my parents died of CA, one on home hospice and I know how hard it is. (((HUGS)))
