Hey all.... I graduated in 2007 with my BSN and I have taken the NCLEX-RN exams 4 times!! I am on the verge of giving up. I do not want to work as a Tech anymore.... I know I have the knowledge to be a great nurse but I am so discouraged. I am thinking of starting a different career. Does anyone know of anything I can do with a BSN without my RN license?? Also if you have any advice for me that would be great because I am feeling so down about myself!! Thanks!

I'm sorry that you have not yet passed the NCLEX
Have you taken any review classes to show you the areas you need to work on?
I'm getting ready to take my RN boards soon and I studied the ATI book series during nursing school. I think they helped because we had to take an ATI exit test and score 90 or better in order to graduate. the score tells us our probability of passing boards. And i got a 98%.
I know saunders is also very helpful, I've had several friends that all they studied for boards was saunders NCLEX about an hour a day and passed. Some of them told me they also used Kaplan books.
Good luck

Nursing school is so fast that it is hard to retain everything. Just keep reviewing (doing NCLEX questions), and keep taking the exam. The longer you wait, the more info you will lose, so just stay at it.

Try purchasing the Saunders' 4th edition book and do what suzanne's plan ask for starters. Perhaps it may help. I'm working on it too.

Hang in there!!! This website is a great support system. I found out yesterday too that I failed the NCLEX for the second time. I'm taking a break to relax my mind. Then I will surely do Suzanne's plan. Don't give up!!!!!!!! We can do it and officially become RN's!!!!!!:nmbrn:

Try suzanne's plan. After my 15th posts, I've got to PM her. Don't give up. You're not alone.
