I'm curious as to whether any other prospective July 2015 DSN students have heard back from admissions yet...
I'm still waiting on them to cash my check, but I was in touch with a counselor about polishing up my package recently, so I know at least some progress is being.
At any rate, I'm interested in DSN b/c Nursing school is too damn expensive in California, even w/ the GI Bill >.
edit: And I'd also like to live in a place like Denver for college. Best part is if I like it I can stay in Colorado and not have to wait 6 months (which is the minimum wait in Cali for new licenses apparently!) for the state to issue me a license after my NCLEX.
Interview process isn't a big deal, just bring in the required paperwork and be prepared to answer the question of why you want to work in Nursing or have chosen DSN. You'll spend an hour or two touring campus, checking out the facilities, etc. You'll also need to schedule for the HESI A2 exam which isn't to big a deal either, if you've knocked out your pre-reqs you'll have no troubles w/ it.
Can anyone who attends DSN tell me how the process works? I have already applied to another nursing school for fall start but I would like to actually have another option ready for a fall start if I don't make it. The problem is, every time I look at DSNs website, none of the programs are accepting applications. I would like to go for my BSN and only have a few prereq classes I'd like to transfer. I don't currently have my degree either, I just really want to avoid being on any wait lists.

What prereqs do you have? Have you finished them all yet? You can still apply while finishing them. I am in the BSN program now

Hi everyone!!! I got an email saying I was pulled from the alternate list the other day! They give people a week to respond, and it looks like it's done one by one once a candidate doesn't work out! This is very exciting for me!! If you haven't heard back yet, don't worry! I know that they have several people on the alternate list and trying to notify people as soon as a space becomes available!! Good luck everyone and I hope to see you in July!!
